What is an eco-community?

Some refer to it as a movement promoting the forming of ecological friendly communities guided by the framework of Global Ecovillage Network. In many cases, the term seems to be used more loosely, gesturing to communities that learn to tend to one another, the earth, the wider world through a range of practices.

Continuing our encounters, we visited eco-villages and education-farming-art sites in Hong Kong. Other community gatherings focus on urban beekeeping or composting and more. Meanwhile there are cloth swapping events in Hong Kong facilitated by digital platforms as a mode of reclaiming and repairing.
